Singapore Launches Southeast Asia’s First Quantum-Enabled AI Testbed

Singapore Launches Southeast Asia’s First Quantum-Enabled AI Testbed

Singapore has become the first country in Southeast Asia to host a hybrid quantum AI testbed, following a partnership between BDx Data Centres and Anyon Technologies. This milestone expected to accelerate AI agent innovation across the region and aligns with Singapore’s Green 2030 and Smart Nation strategies.

The AI testbed will serve as a regional innovation hub, providing startups, enterprises, and government agencies with access to next-generation computing resources. The system optimized for experimentation and prototyping, and includes Singapore’s first AI-powered digital twin—an energy- and performance-optimized model that supports compliance with the Green Data Centre Standards.

This approach is expected to deliver real business value and foster talent development in the AI and quantum domains.

Key highlights:

  • The testbed supports hybrid computing with QPU-CPU-GPU integration.
  • SIN1 acts as a dedicated AI Hub for sustainable and intelligent infrastructure.
  • Expansion plans include Indonesia, Hong Kong SAR, and Taiwan.

The initiative positions Singapore as a regional leader in AI agent development and sustainable technology. The move is part of a broader vision to build a cross-regional network of quantum-enabled AI data centres. Also advancing both computational capability and environmental responsibility in Asia.
